Hunter Biden Revives Lawsuit Against Fox News Over Illegally Published Explicit Images

NEW YORK — Hunter Biden has refiled a lawsuit against Fox News, accusing the network of illegally publishing explicit images of him in a streaming series. The lawsuit, originally filed in July, alleges that Fox used the images without his consent as part of “The Trial of Hunter Biden,” a mock trial featured on the Fox Nation platform.

Biden initially dropped the suit three weeks after its filing, on the same day his father, President Joe Biden, exited the 2024 presidential race. However, on Tuesday, Hunter Biden revived the lawsuit in Manhattan state court, citing a violation of New York’s revenge porn law. The new complaint also names one current and one former Fox executive as additional defendants.

Fox News has pushed back on the lawsuit, seeking to move the case to federal court. The company issued a statement dismissing the claims as meritless, stating, “The core complaint stems from a 2022 streaming program that Mr. Biden did not complain about until sending a letter in late April 2024.” Fox also noted that the program was taken down soon after the complaint, though Biden has been a prominent public figure under scrutiny in multiple investigations.

Hunter Biden’s legal team, led by attorney Tina Glandian, has yet to comment on why the lawsuit was refiled. The case brings attention once again to privacy concerns and the legal boundaries surrounding public figures.
