The U.S. Army has reported the discovery of a missing soldier at Fort Leonard Wood, who was found deceased. FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. — Authorities at Fort Leonard Wood, along with the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence (MSCoE), are reaching out to the community for assistance in their efforts to find a missing soldier. In a Facebook post, Fort Leonard Wood reported that Sergeant Sarah Roque, a 23-year-old soldier from the 5th Engineer Battalion, was last seen in the vicinity of the base. Her family, along with her chain of command, have been unable to establish contact with her since that time, raising concerns for her well-being. The post emphasizes the urgency of the situation and seeks assistance in locating her.
Sgt. Roque is described as a Hispanic female with black hair, brown eyes, about 5’2″ tall and weighing about 145 pounds.
Anyone who may have information regarding Sergeant Roque’s whereabouts is urged to contact law enforcement officials without delay by calling 573-596-6141. Additionally, individuals can submit anonymous tips to the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) Crime Tips to assist in the search for her.
