Donald Trump Shocks Nation by Appointing Alina Habba as His New Top Counselor – What Does This Mean for the Future?

24

President-elect Donald Trump has announced that his longtime personal lawyer, Alina Habba, will join his White House team as counselor to the president. “She has been unwavering in her loyalty and unmatched in her resolve—standing with me through numerous ‘trials,’ battles, and countless days in court,” Trump said in a statement on Sunday.

Habba, 40, has become one of the most prominent figures in Trump’s legal circle, frequently defending him in high-profile cases and on television. As managing partner of Habba Madaio & Associates LLP, she represented Trump in several legal challenges, including a defamation lawsuit filed by former Apprentice contestant Summer Zervos, who accused Trump of sexual assault. Habba’s efforts in the case led to Zervos dropping her lawsuit.

In another notable instance, Habba defended Trump when his niece, Mary Trump, sued him over allegations of being cheated out of an inheritance—a case that was ultimately dismissed. Habba also played a key role in Trump’s lawsuit against Mary Trump regarding her involvement in providing his financial documents to The New York Times.

With her reputation as a steadfast ally and skilled litigator, Habba is poised to play a significant role in Trump’s upcoming administration.
