Dolphins place receiver Grant DuBose on injured reserve after hit to the head
Following a helmet-to-helmet collision against the Houston Texans on Sunday that sent the wide receiver to the hospital, the Miami Dolphins placed Grant DuBose on injured reserve on Tuesday.
Despite having movement in all of his extremities, DuBose stayed in the hospital on Monday following a collision with safety Calen Bullock during the third quarter while attempting to make a grab.
For at least ten minutes, DuBose remained still as emergency medical professionals on the field attended to him. A neck brace was placed on him and his jersey was cut off.
His arms and legs were eventually fastened down on a spine board, and he was subsequently admitted to the hospital in a stable state.
DuBose placed on injured reserve
After signing with the Dolphins in August, DuBose, who was selected by Green Bay in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft was placed on injured reserve in September due to a shoulder issue. Prior to the game on Sunday, he had been activated.
On Tuesday, the Dolphins added quarterback Skylar Thompson and receiver Isaiah McKenzie to their practice squad while removing long snapper Jake McQuaide off it.
Last Monday, Thompson, who made three starts in three seasons for Miami, was let go.
