Tyreek’s turbulent 2024: A look at the Dolphins star’s wild year

Later, authorities said that a toddler playing with a lighter was the cause of the incident. Hill and the Dolphins played the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL Wild Card Round a few days later on January 13. The Chiefs defeated the Dolphins 26-7 despite Hill catching Miami’s only touchdown in the fourth-coldest game in NFL history, which began with freezing conditions of minus-4 degrees Fahrenheit (minus-20 Celsius). Records that showed Hill had filed for divorce from his wife, Keeta Vaccaro, appeared in Broward County a few days after the playoff loss. After calling it “bs” at first, Hill had the divorce petition dismissed two weeks later.

However, Hill said that things went out of control in an interview with Fred Taylor, Ryan Clark, and Channing Crowder on the “The Pivot” podcast in March. However, Hill said that while he and Vaccaro were talking about a postnuptial agreement, things went out of control and that someone filed the petition without his consent in an interview with Fred Taylor, Ryan Clark, and Channing Crowder on the “The Pivot” podcast in March.  When Hill was sued in February by a social media influencer who said he purposefully injured her leg at his house in 2023, things didn’t get any easier for him.

According to the lawsuit filed by Sophie Hall, a model and influencer with over 2.3 million Instagram followers, Hall “became enraged, and forcefully and purposely shoved Ms. Hall, severely fracturing her leg, requiring surgery with orthopedic reconstruction and hardware implantation” after knocking Hill backwards during a football lesson. A social media influencer has filed a new complaint against Tyreek Hill, alleging that he purposefully injured her leg at his house last year. According to Hill’s lawyer, Hall injured herself after stumbling over a dog. Hill announced in August that he was prepared to compete in the 2028 Summer Olympics and even face one of the best sprinters in the world.

In a social media post, Hill—known by his nickname “Cheetah” and as one of the NFL’s quickest players—challenged sprinting phenom Noah Lyles, who took home the gold in the 100-meter at the Paris Olympics, to a race in Paris. Replay revealed that Lyles had won gold by 5/1000th of a second. The Dolphins player even went so far as to claim that he would defeat Lyles, to which Lyles replied that he was prepared to compete. The argument between the two concerning speed hasn’t been resolved yet.

Although Hill scored a touchdown in the Dolphins’ last-second victory over the Jaguars in September to start the season, the events leading up to the game garnered more media attention than the victory itself. On his way to Hard Rock Stadium, Miami-Dade Police dragged Hill out of his car and handcuffed him outside the venue. Police body cameras caught the strange interaction, which was the talk of the sports world for days. Tony Pipitone of NBC6 analyzes the incident’s bodycam footage, moment by moment. Although the charges were ultimately dropped, Hill had been pulled over for what the police claimed was careless driving. Additionally, one of the participating officers was assigned to administrative tasks.

Hill and his wife welcomed a baby daughter into the world last month, adding even more drama to their 2024 life. A shirtless Hill was seen in the hospital clutching the bundle of happiness in a video that Vaccaro shared on social media. Fatherhood is nothing new to Hill. Hill is thought to have more than six children at this point, however precise figures are unavailable. Although Hill’s 2024 season has been rather quiet on the field, a social media post on X suggests that he has made the decision to step it up. On Dec. 18, Hill had the sports world scratching its heads when he posted “It’s time for me to go coach.”
