Deputies are looking for potential victims who might have come into contact with a man in Palm Beach County who is suspected of raping a youngster. Investigators believe Ricould Grier, 37, may have more victims, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) said. Grier was arrested last week on charges of sexual assault. Grier regularly goes to Riviera Beach, West Palm Beach, and Lake Worth Beach, according to PBSO. On the morning of November 25, 2024, around 14th Avenue South, near the hotel where she was staying with relatives, Grier was arrested for the forcible sexual assault of a girl, aged 12 to 17, as she was out for a walk, according to PBSO.

The girl went for a walk at roughly 5:30 a.m. when her family was still asleep, according to the criminal probable cause affidavit. About 20 minutes into her stroll, the girl informed deputies, she noticed a car’s headlights behind her, but she chose to ignore them. She was playing music loudly, so she couldn’t hear him shouting something out of his window. The victim recalled that after removing her headphones to listen to his words, he got out of the car and pushed her, to which the teenager retorted, “Get the f*** away from me.”

According to the complaint, he then aggressively sexually attacked her next to an abandoned building after pushing her to the ground. After a while, the victim managed to dial 911. As Jackie Fernandez, the Palm Beach County Victim Services Team Supervisor, told CBS12 News on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, “when these things happen, there’s also concern for the community because we don’t know how this person operates and who else is at risk.” The perpetrators of sexual assault are typically someone the victim knows, according to Jackie Fernandez, a supervisor with Palm Beach County Victim Services. Even while it is less common, it can nonetheless happen to a stranger.

For victims of sexual offenses, Palm Beach County Victim Services is an essential resource that offers assistance and direction during these trying times. Fernandez stated, “When these incidents occur, there is also worry for the community because we don’t know how this person operates and who else is at risk.” After the 15-year-old victim’s trauma, Fernandez’s squad was called in to help. “We’ll accompany them to court. We would be describing to them the steps involved in a deposition. Fernandez stated, “We would be describing to them what it might look like if they have to appear in court and testify.” Anybody who was impacted by Ricould Grier or has pertinent information is encouraged by PBSO to contact Detective Guarducci at 561-688-4148 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
