Francisco San Martin, known for his roles on Days of Our Lives and The Bold and the Beautiful, has tragically passed away in Los Angeles at the age of 39. The actor, who also appeared on the CW telenovela Jane the Virgin, was pronounced dead on Thursday, according to the Los Angeles County medical examiner. His death was ruled a suicide by ligature hanging at his Los Angeles residence.

Born in Mallorca, Spain, San Martin spent part of his childhood in Montana before returning to Spain with his family. As a teenager, he pursued modeling and later transitioned to acting, appearing on stage, in films, and on television in Spain. He eventually returned to the United States to further his career in the entertainment industry.

San Martin originated the role of Dario Hernandez on Days of Our Lives in 2011, portraying a petty thief investigating a cold case murder. His character’s storyline concluded with a move to Argentina after a five-month stint on the show. The role was recast in 2016 when the character was reintroduced.

The actor’s talent and charm left a lasting impression on fans and colleagues alike. His untimely death has saddened the entertainment community, with many remembering him as a gifted performer with a promising career. Francisco San Martin will be deeply missed.
