Cornerback Tre’Davious White begins a fresh chapter as he joins the Los Angeles Rams on a one-year contract, leaving behind his long-standing time with the Buffalo Bills.

The deal, as per various sources, has a value of “up to” $10 million.

The estimated base value is $8.5 million, but we are still waiting for official confirmation to get the exact details.

White’s decision comes after successfully recovering from a severe Achilles tendon injury suffered during Week 4 of the 2023 season.

The upcoming year holds promise for the skilled cornerback to showcase his regained health and reclaim his position, potentially leading to a more lucrative contract in 2025.

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA – NOVEMBER 07: Laviska Shenault Jr. #10 of the Jacksonville Jaguars runs the ball while being defended by Tre’Davious White #27 of the Buffalo Bills during the second quarter at TIAA Bank Field on November 07, 2021 in Jacksonville, Florida.

As per Mike Garafolo from NFL Network, White’s agents have officially confirmed the agreement with the Rams.

The Rams were one of the main teams interested in White during his free agency tour. The cornerback also considered options with the New York Giants, Tennessee Titans, and Las Vegas Raiders before ultimately reaching an agreement with Los Angeles.

After being released by the Bills earlier in the offseason following seven seasons with the team, White is now confronted with the task of recovering from his injury setback.

Unfortunately, his 2023 campaign was cut short after only four games. In addition to his remarkable career, the two-time Pro Bowler has faced some health challenges.

However, he has managed to accumulate an impressive resume with 18 interceptions, including a remarkable six interceptions in 2019, which led the league.

White’s Achilles Surgery by Rams Doctor

Surprisingly, White has a connection with the Rams that goes beyond his recent contract. Dr. Neal ElAttrache, the team’s physician, successfully conducted surgery to repair White’s torn Achilles, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Rams’ acquisition of White is a notable addition, strengthening their cornerback position alongside the earlier signing of Darious Williams in free agency.

White’s exceptional playmaking skills and potential for a comeback make him a valuable asset for the Rams as they look to strengthen their defense for the upcoming season.
