The Philadelphia Eagles have been quite active during the offseason, working diligently to revamp a team that did not meet the anticipated level of success in 2023.

Philadelphia, determined to solidify its position as a strong competitor in the NFC, bolstered its defense by acquiring edge rusher Bryce Huff and defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson.

Additionally, the Eagles managed to secure running back Saquon Barkley from the New York Giants, their rivals in the NFC East.

However, the Eagles have bid farewell to All-Pro center Jason Kelce, who recently announced his retirement after an impressive 13 seasons in the NFL.

The departure of the esteemed player creates a significant void on the offensive line, as well as within the team’s camaraderie.

On the other hand, Kelce is eagerly anticipating the opportunity to observe the Eagles’ recent acquisitions in action.

One of them made a compelling case on Tuesday, urging the 36-year-old to consider another season in the NFL.

Jason Kelce’s Comeback Talk on ‘New Heights

In the most recent episode of the “New Heights” podcast, Jason and Travis Kelce had the pleasure of hosting Barkley as a guest to discuss his arrival in Philly.

It didn’t take long for the former Giant to make an attempt to convince Jason to return to the field in 2024.

Barkley expressed his overwhelming excitement, comparing it to the joy of a child in a candy store. He eagerly anticipated his first visit to the Eagles’ building.

Kelce expressed his excitement for the upcoming season, looking forward to seeing Philly soar in 2024 and potentially dethrone the Dallas Cowboys as NFC East champions.

“You don’t have to watch it, you know,” Barkley responded, suggesting that Kelce still possesses plenty of talent to continue playing professional football for a 14th season.

Kelce’s press conference a few weeks ago conveyed a strong sense that the former Super Bowl champion has decided to retire permanently.

However, it is evident that Kelce has earned a great deal of respect within the NFL, even from opposing teams.

This is demonstrated by Barkley’s endorsement of the veteran offensive lineman continuing to play in his 14th season, as the Eagles aim to make a comeback and reach the Super Bowl in 2025.
