It wouldn’t be unexpected if LSU’s Malik Nabers surpasses Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr. as the premier wide receiver in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Per Cameron Wolfe of NFL Media, there is a close division between Nabers and Harrison Jr., with several teams considering the LSU standout as the top wide receiver in this year’s draft.

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – MARCH 01: Malik Nabers #WO21 of the LSU Tigers speaks to the media during the 2024 NFL Draft Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium on March 01, 2024 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

It’s clear that Nabers’ stock is set to soar even higher following his impressive display of speed and athleticism during his pro day on Wednesday.

The 20-year-old athlete showcased impressive speed, completing the 40-yard dash in just 4.35 seconds.

Additionally, they demonstrated remarkable leaping ability with a vertical jump of 42 inches.

This would have been one of the top vertical jumps at the scouting combine.

He ended the 2023 season with an impressive performance, recording the second-highest number of receiving yards (1,569) in the FBS and tying for third place in touchdown catches (14) in just 13 games.

On the other hand, Harrison Jr. chose not to take part in the scouting combine or Ohio State’s pro day.

However, this is unlikely to have a significant impact on his draft stock.

Throughout his time with the Buckeyes, he achieved the prestigious distinction of being named a first-team All-American on two separate occasions.

Additionally, he was the proud recipient of the highly coveted 2023 Biletnikoff Award, which is bestowed upon the most outstanding wide receiver in college football.

Undoubtedly, it’s a difficult decision, considering the exceptional talent of Nabers and Harrison Jr.

Scouting Nabers: Teams Line Up for Meetings

According to Wolfe, Nabers had meetings with multiple teams on Tuesday, such as the New York Giants, New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans, New York Jets, and Jacksonville Jaguars. Additionally, he has a meeting planned with the Arizona Cardinals on Wednesday.

Tankathon predicts that the Cardinals are likely to select Harrison Jr. as their fourth pick.

Arizona may consider exploring other possibilities after witnessing Nabers’ impressive performance during his pro day.
