LAKEWOOD, Colo. — The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has issued a Missing Indigenous Person Alert for Christopher Yazzie, a 26-year-old man who has been missing for over a week. Yazzie was last seen on September 3, 2024, at approximately 9:55 a.m. in the area of 2nd Avenue and Union Boulevard in Lakewood. His disappearance has raised concerns, as he has not been in contact with anyone since that time.

Christopher Yazzie is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing around 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He is a member of the Navajo Tribe, and his family, along with the authorities, are growing increasingly worried about his well-being due to his cognitive impairment. It has been reported that Yazzie requires medication, which adds urgency to the search.

At this time, it is unclear what Yazzie was last wearing, and authorities are appealing to the public for any information that could lead to his safe return. The case has drawn significant attention, particularly from the Indigenous community, as efforts to locate Yazzie continue.

The CBI urges anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact local authorities immediately. Those with relevant details are encouraged to call 911 or the Lakewood Police Department at 303-980-7300. Time is of the essence, and any small piece of information could prove crucial in locating him and ensuring his safety.
