Witnesses Testifies Against Matt Gaetz
According to the sources, a lady informed the panel that she received cash from Gaetz for having sex, and other others claimed they were paid to attend parties that Gaetz also attended that featured drugs and sex. When contacted for comment, a Gaetz representative pointed to the congressman’s post from Monday on X, where he criticized the committee’s probe and placed the blame on former speaker Kevin McCarthy, with whom he has a personal quarrel.

“Notwithstanding the difficulty in obtaining relevant information from Representative Gaetz and others, the Committee has spoken with more than a dozen witnesses, issued 25 subpoenas, and reviewed thousands of pages of documents in this matter,” the panel said. “Based on its review to date, the Committee has determined that certain of the allegations merit continued review.”
It said, “The Committee has also identified additional allegations that merit review during the course of its investigation.” The panel declared that it would keep investigating claims that Gaetz “engaged in illicit drug use and sexual misconduct.”
The committee said that it will not be looking into allegations that Gaetz “may have accepted a bribe or improper gratuity, misused state identification records, converted campaign funds to personal use, or shared inappropriate images or videos on the House floor.”
