WEST PALM BEACH POLICE SEEK RELATIVES OF HOMELESS MAN WHO DIED
The West Palm Beach Police Department (WPBPD) is urgently seeking assistance in locating the relatives or next of kin of Clinton McCray, a 64-year-old homeless man who tragically lost his life after being struck by a Tri-Rail train on May 28. The incident occurred around evening time near Southern Boulevard in West Palm Beach, where McCray was trespassing on the CSX railroad tracks.
Unfortunately, McCray was pronounced dead at the scene, and the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed his death as a suicide. Despite efforts to trace his family, the only lead discovered so far is an aunt from Riviera Beach, who sadly passed away years ago.
According to authorities, McCray was known to move between West Palm Beach and neighboring cities, making it challenging to track down his relatives. The medical examiner’s office is currently handling the case as an indigent burial, but they are eager to locate a relative to notify and involve in the burial process.
The WPBPD is appealing to the public for assistance in finding Clinton McCray’s next of kin. Anyone with information or connections to McCray’s family is urged to contact the authorities immediately. The police department is committed to ensuring that McCray receives a dignified burial, and reuniting him with his loved ones is a crucial step in this process.
By sharing this story and spreading the word, we can help the WPBPD in their search and bring closure to McCray’s family. If you have any information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the authorities.
