WHITE SETTLEMENT, Texas – Police in White Settlement are searching for a suspect who rammed an officer’s vehicle and led them on a high-speed chase over the weekend.

Fort Worth police alerted White Settlement authorities on Sunday afternoon after license plate readers detected a stolen Jeep Liberty entering the city. Officers responded to a McDonald’s on West Freeway where the SUV had been seen. Although the vehicle was unoccupied, Fort Worth police reported the driver had fled towards Western Hills Boulevard.

During the chase, a female passenger attempted to escape toward a motel on the I-30 service road but was quickly apprehended. Meanwhile, the male suspect managed to return to the Jeep and rammed an officer’s vehicle before speeding away.

A high-speed pursuit ensued westbound on I-30, but White Settlement officers called it off due to the suspect’s reckless driving. The stolen Jeep was later found abandoned on Shade Tree Lane, but the suspect remains at large.
