Woman Arrested Following Shooting During Alleged Burglary in Oakland Park

In the early hours of Sunday, an attempted burglary in Oakland Park ended with a woman in the hospital and subsequently under arrest. According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO), deputies responded to reports of a shooting around 5:00 a.m. near the 4900 block of Northeast 13th Terrace, where they discovered a woman with a gunshot wound to her arm.

BSO officials stated that the woman was immediately transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. Following her medical evaluation, investigators determined that she was connected to a burglary incident that coincided with the time of the shooting. Consequently, the woman was arrested in connection with the alleged burglary.
